War Eagle

Last Christmas my sister Lauren got Devon and I tickets to the Iron Bowl! Auburn Tigers vs Alabama Tide. One of the most heated rivalries in college football. It was awesome!
The morning of the game we got up at 6am to get on ESPN College Game Day. If you happened to be watching and saw a giant picture of Lauren's head with a speech bubble saying "kick bama kick" that was us!
We sat in the student section and you had to stand the entire game waving your "shaker"! (shakers = pom-pom) Lauren tried to teach us all the cheers we would need to know before the game but I didn't do so well with all of them. We had so much fun! Thanks Lauren, you're the best!!!

New Orleans WWII Museum

Devon and I went to the New Orleans WWII Museum yesterday. It was amazing to see all the photos from the war and learn about the men and women that protected our country. Devon's grandpa had been transferred out of Pearl Harbor just months before it was bombed by the Japanese. How grateful I am to those who serve our country to keep us safe and free. Thank you!

The Magic Pillowcase

About 6 months ago I was at a fabric store with my mom, Lauren and Lindsay and she was telling us about "magic pillowcases". She insisted that we all try to make a pair so we all picked out fabric to create magic. I've wanted to tackle this project ever since I got the material but for some reason I felt a little intimidated and always had other projects to work on. Finally I got around to it and I loved it! It is such a great way to make pillowcases. You all must try it!
I followed the instructions from http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases/instructions/RollItUp.pdf
I didn't use the dimensions that they suggested but just their technique.

Halloween skeleton

Case dressed up as a skeleton for Halloween this year! He was so cute! We went into Polson Halloween afternoon where all the downtown businesses handed out candy to kids.

Tired little man

Case and I went to the carpet store to try and find carpet for the attic. He was a little tired and after awhile I just couldn't hold him and pick up carpet samples so onto the floor he went.

Halloween Bats

Case and made bats to decorate for Halloween!
Last week I got to visit my friend Stacy in Portland and she gave me the idea of cutting out bats. She had cut some out and glued them to some twigs she had painted black.
Instead of cutting them out one by one I designed 4 different bats in Illustrator and cut them out on my silhouette. Bent their wings back to make them 3 dimensional and lined them up on the mantle. Super spooky!!!
